The Billabong itself is teeming with wildlife and guests often catch sight small fresh-water crocodiles, frogs and other native inhabitants. The Billabong is fenced for the safety of children and to protect the environment from stock damage.

Billabong House is permanently accessible by wheelchair and the toilets and shower are in close proximity for ease of access.
